    July 31, 2012 by steve

Invitations have gone out!  Please be sure to RSVP by August 24th so we can get an idea of headcount.  The RSVP includes a bit of fun, please fill it out and we’ll post it at the wedding whether you are able to make it or not.

I’ve also added a couple of pages, above, for information concerning hotels, venue, and gift registries.

The count down is heating up!

Amy dug up a great location for the wedding and reception, and it’s been officially booked.  We’ll be hosting the event at the Chase Mill at the Tracy Aviary.

  4. Planning in Action

    February 14, 2012 by amy

    Hi All!

Amy here, I’ve begun formulating my plan of attack for the big day.  Decorations, locations, dress and food.  We have a loooooong way to go but we’ve got some time.  I’ve blogged more about where i’m at with this on my blog.  I’m taking applications now for anyone that wants to help out.  ;)

  5. Save the date!

    February 13, 2012 by steve

We set a date!  September 15th, 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Save the Date postcards are complete and are going out in the mail now and into a mailbox near you soon.  I hope you enjoy the design; the robots are from a painting Amy made for me, and the rest of the design is many hours of me learning how to use my shiny new Wacom tablet.

  6. The beginning

    February 1, 2012 by steve

All stories start with a beginning, and with Amy and I, ours starts with the meeting.

I met her through OK Cupid, an online dating website, just before New Years 2011.  I had logged in and found someone with a high match probability to myself (something like a 95%).  I popped over to her profile and was presented with a photo of a cute girl in a robot costume.  How could I not send her a message?

We met at a local Red Robin on January 2nd, 2011 around noonish.  I knew when she walked into the door that I already liked her.  Over the next few hours, we had a great conversation.  Everything was going well, until we made it outside to part ways.  I was too nervous to go in for a hug, but I wanted to let her know I really wanted to see her again.  I was sure I expressed this, but from Amy’s side of the story, she claims I pretty much said I had fun and jumped in my car and sped off.  She felt for sure I was not interested, and lined up a date with another guy for the next weekend.  I called her later that week, and must have surprised her enough to score a second date, and, well… the rest is history.

After a year of dating, I became sure that she was the girl I wanted to marry.  I hatched a plan to propose to her, and pulled it off on our one year anniversary on Jan 2nd, 2012.  You can read my post about how I proposed here.

So, there you have it.  The beginning of a marriage, summed up in one post.  We’ll post more stories and keep you up to date on how things are going here on the site, so stick around!
